(Tampa, Fla.) – The Pam Bondi for Attorney General Campaign declared victory following tonight’s televised debate with Bondi’s Democratic and Libertarian opponents. Viewers learned firsthand of General Bondi’s leadership and accomplishments during the last four years and on behalf of Floridians.
The hour-long program, hosted by Bay News 9 anchor Al Ruechel, Tampa Bay Times political editor Adam Smith, and Ybeth Bruzual, anchor with Orlando’s News 13, was broadcast in the local Tampa Bay and Orlando media markets. Questions ranged from topics including consumer protection, utilities, pill mills, affordable health care, mortgage fraud, gaming, medical marijuana, same-sex marriage and others, including the focus of the Attorney General’s office over the next four years.
“After more than eighteen years as a prosecutor, followed by four years as Florida’s Attorney General, Pam Bondi has a strong record of fighting on behalf Floridian’s,” said campaign manager Pablo Diaz. “Tonight's debate clearly showed that Pam Bondi is the person most experienced, qualified and capable candidate to help keep Florida the safest place to live, work and raise a family.”
